The platform was created as a part of an international project Fruits from Budjak: from the farmer to the table. Polish practices and European Union legislation supporting local development based on high-quality agriculture and processing of local products. The project is co-financed from the state budget as part of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
The aim of the project is to support agriculture and agribusiness processing, as well as diversify income sources in rural areas by assisting the local government in Cimislia, Moldova. A key priority is the development of micro-processing and support for direct sales.
A crucial aspect of the project involves organizing sets of workshops designed for food producers and individuals overseeing local development. The initiative also includes the generation of informational materials about agriculture, drawing from Polish expertise, and a study visit to Poland.
Reservation of the Fruit Incubator in Cimislia
As part of the project, a Fruit Incubator has been created - a local government agricultural support center with common infrastructure for fruit and vegetable processing, sorting, packaging, etc. The Incubator will contribute to increasing the value and profitability of production of small and medium-sized farms - surplus production will be processed depending on the situation on the market.
